+LECTRAGLIDE Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 (edited) I have loaded and tried to use topo maps on my map 60 .I have yet to see any advantage over the base map that came on the unit . I really could use some instuctions on how to use these map I guess .Does anyone know of garmin topo howtos out there ? I have looked on the garmin web site and have not found any help . ao318 Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 I have a 60csx and loaded maps onto it and notice quite a difference. You get a better detailed map. One thing I learned from garmin tech support was that if you load maps individually, you erase the previously loaded map on your unit. Even though it lists the map in your settings, it is not there. They recommended deleting or resetting the maps on my GPSr and then selecting all of the maps that I want loaded onto my unit and load them all at the same time.
