+triturtle Posted January 28, 2008 Share Posted January 28, 2008 I bought a new GPSr and sold my perfectly functioning Legend Cx to a friend. He took it home and played with it and it worked fine. Then, last night he left it plugged into his iMac via USB and this morning it is DEAD. I called Garmin who is willing to fix or replace for $99 but it is a two year old unit that I sold for $50. I don't think it is worth it. Has anyone had any luck opening these things up and repairing them? I got it open, but frankly it is nothing but a circuit board with a screen, USB port, and micro-SD connectors. Quote Link to comment

Have you tried the "master reset" (with the unit turned off, press and hold the follow buttons: PAGE + ENTER, then press and release the POWER)? Quote Link to comment
+triturtle Posted January 29, 2008 Author Share Posted January 29, 2008 I've tried with new batteries and even trying to get power via USB. I tried to do the hard reset numerous times. It is really weird because it doesn't respond at all, not even a flash on the screen. Acts as if it is getting no power. Quote Link to comment
