+Barefoot Parrothead
I just bought one and I registered it to myself, but I'd like to give it to my husband and transfer it to his stash. Quote Link to comment
+The Moop Along
www.geocaching.com/adopt, but you'll need the "TB" number of the activated coin. It will begin with "TB" and be listed on the upper left of the coin's profile page. edit to add -- For example, your Landsharkz coin is "TB1YEP4". +Bhob
Transfering an item (eg a cache or a trackable) involves two actions An "offer" and an "accept" The current owner of the item offers it to the prospective new owner That person must then accept the offer in order to complete the transfer The current owner fills in the required information at www.geocaching.com/adopt (note - for trackables, use the public item code [as in TB12345], not the private tracking code [as in PC1234]) GC.com will then send an e-mail to the prospective new owner This e-mail will include a link for accepting the offer (note - the receiver must have an internet browser window open, with the receiving account logged on) The transfer will only be completed if this "accept" process is completed (in other words, you can't force something on somebody) Also worth noting - only the current owner can initiate the process There is no way to "grab" ownership of an item from another account There is not a way to initiate a transfer by "asking" for it Quote Link to comment
