Rocket scientists needed to design a cartridge

I have finally sat down and worked on some designs and boy howdy this aint easy. I understand that this is a work in progress but to get Wherigo off the ground there will need to be a lot of work done to make it friendlier for those wishing to design cartridges. Let’s face it there are a bunch of us who can barely create a cache page which on the ol' 10 scale should be about a 3. At the moment I'd rate the cartridge builder's difficulty at about an 8.

 

I have very high hopes for this diversion and hope cartridge creation becomes a lot more intuitive.

 

*EDIT...I wonder if one way to make this easier is to offer a series of pre-made templates which are easily editable for custom data? I know there is one sample cartridge in the builder already but perhaps this is a direction that was not considered or fully explored?

 

I do see that there will be a number of open-source releases and while that will help I think templates might be more useful for simple designs.
