"The Avenue's" In Vierra

If anyone knows about a cache that might have been placed in a fountain in "The Avenue's" please let them know that the management is upset with Geocaching. Apparently they found what they believe to be a cache clogging the intake to the pump for the fountain. The clog burned up the pump which now will have to be replaced.

 

I was contacted by a friend who works in the mall management office because she knew that I had done geocaching in the past. I advised her that geocaches weren't suppose to be placed without the property owners premission (although I've seen caches that probably weren't authorized). I know this is a statement to help differ liability, but it was good to be able to quote standard doggma.

 

This is just an FYI because mall security will be watching extra close.

There were two caches near the fountain, neither in the water. I'd guess a child found one and moved it into the water.

Ouch, new pump?

 

One of the caches had a note about having mall management permission right on the cache page.
