+Zooma 4
I got A Garmin Nuvi for Christmas which is great for in the car but for geocaching I don't really want to carry it around in the woods and risk damaging it. Im looking for a more indestructable model to take from the car into "nature" to find geocaches so it doesn't have to have all the bells and whistles. Any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
Lknot
I wouldn't leave it in the car - especially if hiking. I've seen three different cases for Nuvis. One was made of thick silicon but I can't remember the name. Quote Link to comment

At around $225 the Garmin eTrex Vista HCx is the best value, full-featured, handheld around. Quote Link to comment
Glenn W
I'll second the recommendation for the Vista HCx. Quote Link to comment
