+DizzleJizzle
I have been trying to come up with cache ideas that I havent seen used in any caches that I am aware of. I came up with the idea of hiding a cache that has nothing but a riddle inside of it. The finder must email me the answer to the riddle. If the answer is right, then I will send them the coordinates to the final location with the actual cache and logbook inside. What do you all think of this idea? Any ideas on making it even more interesting? Also, what kind of cache would I mark this as, a multi? Quote Link to comment

Instead, you could have several possile "answers" in the cache. Obviously only one of them is the right answer, but each one would have coords connected to it. The more possible "answers", the harder it would to brute force it. I have done some of those where I was only 75% convinced I was right. Adds an interesting element to the search. +the hermit crabs
I came up with the idea of hiding a cache that has nothing but a riddle inside of it. The finder must email me the answer to the riddle. If the answer is right, then I will send them the coordinates to the final location with the actual cache and logbook inside. It probably would not be listed. From the Cache Listing Requirements/Guidelines: "Mystery or Puzzle Caches The “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache often involves complicated puzzles that you will first need to solve in order to determine the coordinates. The information needed to solve the puzzle must be available to the general caching community and the puzzle should be solvable from the information provided on the cache page. For example, a puzzle that requires research on public websites in order to determine the coordinates may be acceptable, while a puzzle that requires sending an e-mail to the cache owner with the solution in order to obtain the coordinates may not be."
