+reed78 Posted December 5, 2007 Share Posted December 5, 2007 Hello I'm still pretty new to the hobby and a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be FTF to a local cache. The person who hid the cache is very new and had placed a TB in it which i retrieved. The problem is that when they put the travel bug in their cache they left a note for it instead of actually logging it into their own cache. When I picked it up and tracked it i realized this and sent them an email. It took them about 2 weeks to respond, they also had the TB for over 3 months before putting it in their cache. I really want to get this TB moving but when they sent me an email asking me what they needed to do I had no idea of how to fix this problem. I've looked on the site but still can't really figure it out. I want to make it as simple as possible so they can understand. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Reed Quote Link to comment

Based on your posting I'd say Grab the bug away, post a note and drop it into the cache you found it in then do a Retrieve as you normally would. If you have actually picked up the bug and moved it to another cache then you need to log it into the cache you've dropped it in. If you don't have the tracking number you'll need to get that from the owner. Quote Link to comment
