Are you trying to insert an Avatar under your name in the lefthand block? If you are there are a number of discussion regarding Avatars just check out "search" at the top of the page and type in avatar, you'll get plentyo of answers, also I believe that somewhere there is a tutorial on Avatars on the main site or on here.
