+The Coffee's
Hi I am interested in finding out how other countries go about organising geocaching events and insurance liability issues. I was organising a cache event and the relevant Park authorities have indicated we require a permit for an event plus 10 milion public liability insurance etc etc. If this is becomes the case i will look at moving or cancelling the event and i was wondering is this issue has arisen elsewhere, and if so how it has been dealt with. +briansnat
I've heard of such things. It's often that the park officials misunderstood the nature of a geocaching event. If they don't require liability policies for a family picnic, or a church outing they really shouldn't for a geocaching event. If they are adamant about the policy, hopefully you can find another park that is more understanding. Edited October 31, 2007 by briansnat Quote Link to comment
