+Uncopyrighted
Since about a week ago, when I would send to GPS, my caches would download to the GPS with the name "Geocache" and a blue Waypoint flag instead of the usual Geocache flag with the waypoint named after the cache name. However, if I save caches as a GPX and load through MapSource then it works fine. Link to comment
+Coolie llama
Yes, why haven't they fixed this problem yet? It's been two weeks now. Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
There are several threads on this subject. Garmin changed something in the plug-in. Link to comment

+Doxie Man
I have contacted Garmin and they have nnot changet anything lately. The problem started with the new code upload. I have been using my Garmin Vista C since the middle of July and there was not a problem until the upgrade by Groundspeak. Garmin didn't change anything on my GPS that would cause the problems that I am having. 1. Coordinants sent to waypoints listing only. 2. Cache Icon appears as a blue dot not the closed cache chest. 3. Name of geocache listed as "geocache" This all started when the NEW Google Maps were installed. It has also made it a real pain to know which cache to look for next because the map doesn't allow any way to identify the location of the different caches on a large area map that I used to use to plan my caching route. Nothing to do with your GPS or its firmware. Has everything to do with the upload to GPS code provided by Garmin and the necessary js code on this site that it works with. Link to comment
+jimbat
Why did you change this. The new way stinks. Link to comment
+Uncopyrighted
I now use GSAK to load all my caches into the GPS. I use the description format: %Name %Con (%Dif/%Ter) So I can see the container size on my GPS as well (I don't always carry the hints, but it's nice to know how big of a container I'm looking for). Much happier with this system. Link to comment
