JackP311
I just got my first GPS for hiking. I have now discovered geocaching and want to do both. However, the hike info I have for my area is in UTM. The caches are in lat and long. Can my Magellan Explorist 100 accept waypoints in both? If I switch it over to lat long for caching, will it keep my UTM points and convert them or erase them? Quote Link to comment

Internally, all coordinates are stored in degree decimal format, regardless of how they were entered. So it doesn't matter what the input setting is. It won't alter the coordinates, just how they are displayed. Quote Link to comment
