highflyinghawk
I downloaded a few geocaches to my 60csx with no problem, they all showed up as unfound geocaches as expected. then I decided to show my wife how easy it is, so I had her download a couple more of them...and none of them showed in the geocache list. after a lot of fooling around I discovered the problem is they were downloading with the "flag" symbol instead of the "geocache" symbol, so the waypoint data is there, just not marked correctly (as I understand it the 60csx assumes waypoints with the geocache symbol are geocaches). did I mess up my configuration somehow (so they are getting marked), or is this something in the downloaded data and I just got lucky choosing points to download? +wesleykey
When looking for nearby caches, make sure on the screen you choose "geocaches". If you loaded them some other way, look for nearby "waypoints". Quote Link to comment
highflyinghawk
here is a specific example, I downloaded this cache by clicking the "send to gps" button on this page: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...00-72befd8eb12d it downloads fine, but shows up in the waypoints marked with the blue flag, not the open chest, thus when I attempt to generate a route to it, it doesn't show up in the geocache list. +StarBrand
There are a number of threads over in the Website forums about this issue. Looks like the code got "updated" and some features were left out. - Might take a peek at the other threads. Quote Link to comment
