www.freedomfilm.com
I met some cool and helpful guys outside a geocache in Yaletown GCVY64 the currency exchange, and they showed me alot about geocaching and the technical stuff. I am new and would like to know more of the advanced uses of the GPS and really learn to master the devices and use them with topo's etc. Anyone with SAR experience? Anyone guys/gals want to meet up in the Yaletown/Downtown area and give me some instructions and suggestions. Maybe hit a could caches together? 1) I have a boxer pup I walk with me... So if you like dogs, great! 2) I am a mac user... So its been tricky 3) Just got a new Garmin Legend Cx Id like to learn about the features of my GPS, how to manage caches, and load maps, etc... And... Any suggestions for maps? Mac users? Programs..? (Willing to scuba/rockclimb/hike to hit caches will trade video/web help.) J. www.freedomfilm.com Quote Link to comment
+mtn-man
My suggestion would be to go to an event. Usually you can find someone to answer questions and there is a great chance you will find people with your same GPS. Quote Link to comment
+Love Bugs
Welcome to the addiction. We ahve a great group of cachers here in BC. We do have a provincail organization with alot of members in the Greater Vanvouver area. You can go to the website and join up, it is free and there you will find lots of help and others to cache with. The url is: http://www.bcgeocaching.com There are also other boards in the area, at http://lmga.net/, http://www.vigps.com/ and http://chwkcacher.proboards26.com/ All the boards have loads of information on caching in and around Vancouver. Good luck and once again Welcome.. Edited July 5, 2007 by Love Bugs Quote Link to comment
+scubacaching
Hi, my girlfriend and I recently got into caching and we couldn't help but notice you'd scuba to hit up a cache. We're also divers but have not yet found a scubacache to search for in the lower mainland area. If we don't find one soon we'll make our own, but we could use a bit of help. If interested let us know. Quote Link to comment
