SCTH
Hi folks, I just wanted to let you know that my cache M-249 (GCHHRK) when it started January of 2004 was an absolute Pig Pen. All kind of trash and lots of it . Over the years after I put the Signal image on the website people have been helping clean this location up further and further up and down the street . Unfortunately over time, short and long, it keeps being popularized by garbage . This location has never been a CITO event but it sure is a long term unofficial event . What does all this mean? I would like to thank the Cache In Trash Out folks, Groundspeak & Jeep for having CITO be apart of Geo-Caching and I wish you had awards & praises for the good deeds of cachers who take time to clean up our world just because they want to, and they don't need an event to pick up someone else's garbage. Don't get me wrong, the events are Great! It's just wonderful that people will clean up just because they want to. Thank You All ~Steve Quote Link to comment

+Eartha
That is a good story. May I suggest that you place another cache, if the area is big enough, and get a whole fresh batch of geocachers? All of your locals have probably found that one by now? Quote Link to comment
SCTH
Thanks for the idea. I am in discussion with the local admin at this moment on an idea that will help clean up this road for 10 miles. I am pushing the boundary of the rules but I have confidence that he will accept this novel type of cache. I will post more about this idea soon and hopefully will be approved. Thanks Steve Quote Link to comment
