+molfrew-mosstoad
Saw this on the regional forum http://z4.invisionfree.com/East_Anglian_Ca...php?showtopic=8 and thought it may interest anyone planning on caching in the Diss Norfolk area on June 10th Quote Link to comment
+rutson
Fail to see the point in not listing it as an event cache myself... Quote Link to comment

+rutson
So invest the five minutes it'd take to list it as an event and you have a handy mechanism for guaging it's popularity Quote Link to comment

+ryme-intrinseca
So invest the five minutes it'd take to list it as an event and you have a handy mechanism for guaging it's popularity Well I'd bet you a tenner that it will get more interest than my event has! At least if it doesn't, and it's not listed as an official 'event', they wouldn't have to walk off with their tail between their legs and think about cancelling it, which will posibly be my next move. I may borrow that myself Well I'd bet you a tenner that it will get more interest than my event has! That may well be the reason.....Pity we dont live a bit closer to you we'd come loggable or not Quote Link to comment
+rutson
ryme-intrinseca, don't panic and don't cancel! Trust me, they'll come, and even if it's not swamped, you'll have a great time. Small and large events both have their place. As for the Norfolk one, my "Meet + Drink = Smiley" series of event caches have been just that. I'm-gonna-be-in-this-pub-at-this-time-come-if-you-want. I've done several and IIRC there's never been less than twenty there. The only 'organisation' that's gone into those has been five minutes writing the speil. Don't get me wrong, the well organised all day events are great and I love attending them, I just haven't had the time and where-with-all to organise one yet! Quote Link to comment

Thanks for that Rutson, I will pass on your comments when I see him. Maybe next time will be an event, even a small one. I think its probably a bit daunting when you organise an "Event" especially not having done one before, and as for myself I hadnt really thought about events being small (but I see no reason they couldnt be) you just get this picture of of an all dayer with lots of cachers and lots of organising to be done Who knows I spose there is still time to change it to an official Event Good luck to ryme-intrinseca with your event.
