barkleyaddict
Nothing wrong with the unit inside, but there are some small tooth marks on the casing and some of the rubber gripping located on the lower side is shredded. The unit is certainly functional 100% but it cost enough that if I could get the body repaired I might. Do you think they could just put a new casing or at least new rubber gripping on it without doing away with all the waypoints and such I already have in the unit? Thought I'd post the question before contacting garmin. Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
Ouch . . . sorry that happened . . . If you send it to Garmin, they will keep your waypoints on the unit. They sent me a new GPSr when I sent my in for repair of the rubber band around my Vista C and all my waypoints were on the replacement. However, I would connect it to your computer and send the waypoints from the GPSr to Mapsource and save the file, just in case. Quote Link to comment

+Thrak
CALL Garmin. Don't email them. Talk with a live person and you just might find that they will replace the unit for free. They did it for me....... Quote Link to comment
