Problems with firefox under linux and geocaching.com

I run Yoper linux (and have tried dadgum Small Linux), and use FireFox. In both linux flavors, I have been unable to do some things on geocaching.com

I cannot post a log to a cache. It tries and finally gives me some error message about being an empty page.

If I do a search, it will not let me go to the second page. It tries and tries and just won't let me. (I can't think of the error message that I get at this time.)

Simarily, if I look at someone's profile, I can't click on any of the tabs, to see what caches they've hidden, for example.

It appears (to my untrained eye), that this is an issue with javascript. I reinstalled Java today, and tested it out on the java.com test page. It said that it worked just fine...

Any suggestions?

Java and JavaScript are completely different. Make sure JavaScript is enabled

Tools > Options > Content > Enable Javascript [x]

(another Linux user, yay!)

Firefox 2.0.0.3

Mine's actualy under Edit>Preferences, but it has always been enabled, and thus no luck...

(What Linux are you using?)

Kubuntu here (Pretty much Debian with bells and whistles), currently on Edgy but have used pretty much every version since Breezy and I've never had any of these problems.

I had the same problem with Yoper. Because if that issue and other oddities I've switched to Ubuntu. I've also found the users in the Ubuntu forums to be a lot more helpful than the ones in the Yoper forums.
