what software application to convert files

Recommended Posts

okay, I finally got cachemate onto my z22. I downloaded a .loc from geocaching, Now I need a conversion program that can operate in a linux enviorment, I tried downloading gpsbabel but I got the dos/windows version which won't operate in my window emulation program. whats my next step?

GPSBabel will work under Linux. Just download the source and compile it or do a search on Google and you can find precompiled binary packages in .rpm, .deb, .pkg, .tgz and probably other formats for whatever flavor of Linux you are running. For example try this link

I think cachemate also comes with cmconvert, which compiles/runs under Linux. I use both cmconvert and gpsbabel on my Debian Linux box all the time.
