+rasj & Stacey
How about a world wide massive geocoin release day? The way it would work is, we settle on a date (or weekend) and everyone that participates in this group would activate at least two geocins from their stockpile, and place them into caches. If you can spare more than two, please do! Would anyone be interested in taking part? If something like this has been done before, then lets do it again! Quote Link to comment

+Team chelmo
It is a good idea, although I am releasing 3x Activated and 1x Un-activated coins today UOTrackers had a similar thread to set a day to put out an Un-Ativated coin into a cache for the next finder. Quote Link to comment

The Grand Experiment - Geocoin Giveaway Not to criticise, but what is the actual *point* of this group? I'd never heard of it before, but I looked in just now, and I don't understand. I put out all kinds of activated geocoins, and I put unactivated ones in every one of our new caches (just did one two days ago), as well as occasional ones in caches we really like. I don't understand what this group is about; the Description of the group doesn't help me at all. Sorry I'm so dense Quote Link to comment

Sorry I'm so dense The purpose of the group was/is to encourage the release of coins into the wild and to be rewarded for doing so . Once the database reaches 100 unique participants there was/is going to be a coin minted to commemorate the group . It has been a bit slow, however when the group was started it was extremely effective . Edited February 24, 2007 by Damenace Quote Link to comment

I think that the description could use some improvement. Please email me with a clearer definition. Thanks Quote Link to comment
