+mfmchen101
I see a bunch of threads on Garmin & European software - what about Magellan? I am going to Paris for a week, and want to bring my GPS. I poked around the Magellan website, found that they have a Paris regional map on their SD cards or through download. No price though, so I called their sales line. They told me to call Support (!) to get pricing and help downloading. Support had no clue what I was talking about until I walked them through the URL to find the product. They have "escalated to Level 2" and I should get a call back. Yikes! So, has anyone used this mystery product, if so where did you buy it and for how much? Are there other "runs with Explorist" options available? I see a bunch for Garmin in this forum. +Prime Suspect
Funny, considering Magellan used to be owned by a French company (Thales). Quote Link to comment
+embra
I don't know anything about a city/regional map on an SD card, but MapSend DirectRoute Europe looks like it would be useful. Quote Link to comment
SandyGarrity
The French Cartography service have produced some superb maps (real ones on paper) that are easy to use with a GPS. I have a Garmin and can change it to the French Grid system I would think you could do that as with the Magellan. Quote Link to comment
