I don't think there is any difference other than that (and price of course) If you can get the 500, buy it...the battery is a HUGE bonus!! Also buy the car charger and you'll be good to go, you'll likely be hard pressed to use the battery up!! IF you can find the battery tray separately, I'd buy that too, just in case you ever DO need to use batteries!! Quote Link to comment
Rye_n_Coke Posted January 31, 2007 Share Posted January 31, 2007 Not sure what prices you guys are finding, but I have a 500LE and bought 2 Li-ion batteries and a charger off eBay for $20 shipped. That should save you a few bucks and then you get the option of what battery to use. The battery I bought was a Motorola from a T720 cell phone and the charger was from a PSP. Quote Link to comment
+High IQ Posted February 1, 2007 Share Posted February 1, 2007 The 500 actually came with both the rechargeable battery AND the clip which holds 3 AAA batteries. As suggested you can always just buy a rechargeable battery from a Magellan dealer or a third party supplier. Quote Link to comment
