+dino-irl
Has anyone tried this software for the PDA? http://www.aanavigator.com/product/TW7002/...are+SD+card.htm It looks reasonably priced but I was wondering if it's any good? edit to say: I've just realised that they have a 2007 edition: http://www.aanavigator.com/product/TW7067/...are+SD+card.htm and a 2007 edition for Europe for an extra few quid: http://www.aanavigator.com/product/TW7065/...are+SD+card.htm Edited January 28, 2007 by dino-irl Quote Link to comment
+yonorri
On the premise that not many caches have their own post code, it probaly won't be much good for accurate cache hunting However on a more serious note if someone wants to lend me a copy I'll test it out! Quote Link to comment
+dino-irl
I was thinking more for in-car sat nav. It has a POI database but I'm not sure if it will accept custom POIs which would allow for caches. Even if it doesn't I can use my existing system. Quote Link to comment
dpoet
I'm buying this one Tom Tom 6 for pda £69.95. cheaper than AA navigator http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk/...escription.html Hope this helps Quote Link to comment
+dino-irl
GB maps only but I'm in Ireland...thanks for the thought anyway Quote Link to comment
+jennie.m
I was looking at that too, but read terrible reviews online (sorry, I've not got the links, but I just googled it). I bought Route 66 navigate 7 which does cover Ireland ,and is quite reasonably priced. I've found it really good, it recalculates very fast if you deviate from the route, and hasn't once yet told me to "make a safe u-turn" (I find that really irritating, if I turned off the route, it's probably because there's a traffic jam or something, and I want another route, not to be told to go back to the old one) Hope that's some help Quote Link to comment
+dino-irl
Thanks for that. I'll try the Google route too and see what I can see. Quote Link to comment
+Bambography
I'm going to try and stay unbias and honest (I work for the AA Mapping Services Dept). To the best of my knowledge you cannot input your own POIs into Navigator. I've just had a chat about it and it sounds like it maybe something on the horizon, but theres nothing currently (and no telling when). I've tried and tested Navigator and quite enjoyed the use, but the price has stopped me buying yet. Also, I produce the paper road atlases and can highly recommend them for their accuracy and professional workmanship!! Quote Link to comment

Rules out this product for me then. I think I'll stick to MS Autoroute for a while longer Also, I produce the paper road atlases and can highly recommend them for their accuracy and professional workmanship!! Quote Link to comment
