  7. I bumped into someone who uses one whilst out walking today (not literally) 16 channel reciever (my legends only 12) waterproof to ipx7 (same as legend) screens bigger on legend but the mapping is similar does not look as robust as legend doesen't float, nor does my legend He said he's had it six months and not had any problems with it. 100 routes 1000 waypoints connects to computer waas/ egnos compatible not bad for fifty quid, if your on a tight budget
  8. My Silver one arrived this morning, I have now recieved both. These coins are really nice, I am very pleased with them, Thanks Pirate_matt and all involved.

  17. Hello Lisa i'm from Cumbria, not been caching since December due mainly to a dodgy leg, and i lost my net access for three months. You will find everyone helpful and friendly, caching is good fun, addictive, and healthy. If you need any help this is the place to get get it. Welcome to the mad world of Geocaching
  18. On my acer n50 windows 2003, I select wlan utility> site survey My acer is set to log onto networks automatically, it beeps when it picks up a network. try this :- windows start button > settings > connections > Network cards > automatically connect to non-preferred networks. I thought most versions of windows would have these settings. maybe your version of windows is different edited to add link your windows is 2003 here is a link to hp help and forums for your pda http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechS...6〈=en&cc=uk
  19. Sorry i thought Nokia n80 was a windows smartphone. It's symbian isn't it. I would still use a legend for caching tho' cheap to buy battery life good i've had mine over a year and it's been great.
  20. I would use a Legend, and get mapping for my phone. I use a legend. and a pda with anquet mapping. Most people seem to prefer Memory Map, but i coudn't afford that. I bought Anquet GB national parks 1:50,000 £19.95 As i do most of my walking in the Lake District it's ideal. GPSR's with good mapping are very expensive and not really necassary for caching.
  21. purple_pineapple I just looked on Garmin website I could not find any reference to waas on camo. Have a look at spec http://www.garmin.com/products/etrexCamo/spec.html Hope this helps dpoet
  22. I use a Lgend no problem at all with it, I would definetly reccomend better than Etrex. My wife uses a Garmin Geko 201. Although it has no mapping, and the AAA batteries don't last as long, It's very good too. You can buy the Geko from the States very cheap, and if you can get them to declare it as a gift, no import duty. Or buy one from Ebay. Very light and easy to use.
  23. I am just getting organised for paperless caching so far :- Acer N50 premium pda £220 Safecom sugps-r720 (CF gps ) £50 Easy gps Beeline gps (not yet registered) autoroute 2002 free with computer (pocket streets) As soon as i get sorted premium membership I think Beeline is excellent, I would not have known about it if Moote hadn't mentioned it. I just need some time to go caching now.
  24. I recieved mine today, Thank you for all your work, it's a lovely coin.
