jsolsona
Just wondering if anybody has had problems with their cable on the magellan unit. I used it in my latest trip for about 3 weeks and it worked great, but now suddenly it's not recharging the battery. I used different chargers, so I know it's not that, so the only thing I can think about is the cable. Or anybody has any other idea of what it could be? Thanks Javier Quote Link to comment
+Crpnter1
Hi, I have the Explorist 600 and had a similar problem with the cable. I took the small washer off of the part that threads into the unit and it works fine now. It's unfortunate that I had to do it, but it worked. I think that the USB part of the cable is messed up as well. My PC doesen't recognize my GPSr when I plug it in. In order to upload my pocket queries, I have to save them to my SD card, then transfer them over to the internal memory once I re-install it. It's a pain but still better than manually entering them all in. Quote Link to comment

+WeekendWarrior1
I'd also check to see if your cable powers your GPS while connected to the computer. Also if it charges the battery through USB. That should verify the cable is good, -WW Quote Link to comment
vagabond
Also check the pins on the cable connector that goes to the gps they could be dirty or possibly stuck they seem to be spring loaded Quote Link to comment
