+mgbmusic Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Hey all, I saw a Magellan explorist 200 in a catalog recently and I was wondering, for the price, $70, to buy or not to buy. I currently have a Rino 110 which works pretty well, but i was thinking about a nice backup unit. PLus with my wife no longer incapacitated with another life growing inside her, she may want to join the occasional hunt. Thoughts? --MGB Quote
+FamilyDNA Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Personally, I'd want to spend a little more for a unit that can download points. I find entering by hand tedious. Quote
+embra Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 For $70, it's worth pondering. It's basically the same receiver electronics in all the Explorists, which is pretty good. You would have to figure out how much inputting coords manually is going to bug you (or your wife) down the road. For a primary unit, I, too, would say look at a 210 or something else with computer connectivity. For a little-used backup, it might serve well. Quote
