swampgirl
I am brand new to geocaching. Is the Lowrance iFinder Expedition too sophistocated for me? Will it be difficult to use? Thanks for your input! Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
It's a sophisticated unit but one of the best. Lowrance units are not the easiest to use, butou should be able to figure it out, unless you're one of those people whose VCR keeps flashing 12:00 becuse you can't figure out how to set the time. Start with the basics. Learn how to: 1. Mark a waypoint 2. Edit a waypoint 3. Go to a waypoint 4. Call up a waypoint on your unit 5. Navigate between screens and learn what which screen does. I'm sure your unit came with a "quick start guide". Start with that. Quote Link to comment
+parker313
You're gonna love it! I've got an older, less sophisticated version - the iFinder Pro and am so happy with it. I find that the menus are very intuitive and I've not had any problem getting used to navigating through them. I love how easy it is to use...and use well Quote Link to comment
+Airmapper
It is a little complex, but as you learn it you'll be glad you have all the features. Check out my Lowrance Guide in my sig line below for info on using your unit, and using it out Geocaching. Quote Link to comment
