Pocket Query / GPX / UTF-8

How do you know?

I take a look with a normal Text Editor. And search for äs and ös! There are some GPX-Reader they know about this problem and have a workaround.

All the GPX files I've looked at have been correctly UTF-8 encoded. Including this one.

(The cache in question is GCXVE4. No problems here.)

It is not here a new My PG Find.

That's right.

The Notepad/Editor on Windows XP automatically switches to UTF-8 mode if it recognizes any UTF-8 character in the file. You can see the current encoding if you try "File > Save As" in Notepad.

I take a look with TexPad and Binary edit. The äs and ös are realy translatet autmaticaly by the editor. An this under Win98.
