You are coming to a new area and search for good caches. Starting by reading logs is boring and takes time. But looking to the geocaching Map Results with the GCvote addon, you know directly witch descriptions and logs you have to read. Cache along a route does not work any more for me. The maximum number of 500 is reach after 80km if you take a neighbourhood of 2km. There is no filter to get the boring one off. But if i move the map over the road, i see the best one directly. In germany we are talking about a voting system over 2 years and the discussion was not very good in the beginning. But the force of bad and boring caches is so high, that the counterpart against a voting system are lighter. On the site of GCvote you can read how many people use this system: Zu Zeit sind 699671 einzelne Bewertungen für 179144 unterschiedliche Caches gespeichert und 2227 Benutzer registriert And it is still growing.

DIe Satzung hatte ich bereits vor dir hier zitiert. Ein Verbot geht da allerdings gerade nicht hervor: der übliche Hinweis, daß das Betreten ausserhalb der Öffnungszeiten verboten ist, fehlt. Vielmehr wird auf die ständige Öffnung hingewiesen, so dem nichts entgegensteht. @schmitty: D.h. du hast keine Quellen für deine pauschalen Aussagen und es handelt sich lediglich um deine persönliche Meinung. Seit wann ist es erlaubt außerhalb von Öffnungszeiten etwas zu betreten? Der von dir bold unterlegte Teil erklärt doch genau das, was passieren wird, wenn die Öffnungszeiten nicht eingehalten werden. Sie werden einen hinschicken der die Türe abschließt. In welcher Form möchtest du denn diesen Text interpretieren. KDB

Has du auch Quellen für diese Aussagen? In meinem früheren Beitrag habe ich aus der Satzung dieses Friedhofes zitiert. Ein Nightcache ist da sicher nicht erlaubt. Dagegen könnte ich mir sicher ein Cache vorstellen, der bei diesem historischen Friedhof einen an markante Stellen führt. Das suchen nach Cache auf dem Friedhof finde ich dagegen geschmacklos. KDB

As noted in previous posts, it's Gpx to gpx in 2 locations - the 2nd line and the last line. who cares for the last to line? There it is all read. Yes i read it your post, but open a GPX with an normal editor and there are Äs and Ös inside. You get other problems, if you has no UTF-8 editor. Thomas

It is only one character worng in the file! Hi, most of the discription of a cache is in one language (most english). But in Germany man discription are in two languages German and English. But the text is not so easy to read. But if there are some token like [eng] ... [/eng] [ger] ... [/ger] then you can make the text more easyer to read by changing the color or a flag for each [eng] or [ger] Thomas

That's right. It seemd so! The Notepad/Editor on Windows XP automatically switches to UTF-8 mode if it recognizes any UTF-8 character in the file. You can see the current encoding if you try "File > Save As" in Notepad. I take a look with TexPad and Binary edit. The äs and ös are realy translatet autmaticaly by the editor. An this under Win98. KDB

I take a look with a normal Text Editor. And search for äs and ös! There are some GPX-Reader they know about this problem and have a workaround.
