kidnitro
I've been able to create basemaps with the .at5 extension in the past- but now when I create a map in Map Create 6.3, it saves the file as an LCM file type without an extension. I can't see/load it into my GPS. Any ideas? Am I forgetting something? Quote Link to comment
+Airmapper
Off the top of my head, I'd think to check the "Save as type" drop down (If there is one) and make sure it is set to AT5, if it is an option to save as either. Quote Link to comment
CO-Zman
kidnitro, Here's the thread that goes into all that detail. .lcm is the locked to a specific SD card file(I believe) lee-rimer has an excellent discussion on all this: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=115044 Z Quote Link to comment
kidnitro
Thanks for the help. The map file didn't show up on my GPS screen when I initially booted it up. But, when I left on my roadtrip, it finally did bring it up. So my GPS is displaying my huge basemap (an .at5 file) and my just created smaller map from my recent roadtrip (.lcm file). Don't know what's up but it's working. Quote Link to comment
WR8Y
This looks like a good place to ask this: I saved some trails to my laptop. Then, I blew them into a new, bigger SD card than the 64mb one that comes with the package. Well, when I started my GPSr (an Expedition C) it had the trails, waypoints, etc. But all the trails defaulted to green and a sold line. I had assinged colors and unique patterns - but it defaulted to solid green! Any way around this????????????????????????? Quote Link to comment
WR8Y
^^^^^^^^^^ BUMP! Really could use an answer here. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Quote Link to comment
kidnitro
WR8Y- Not sure about how you can maintain your color/line settings. Maybe re-post your question separately with a more specific topic heading- someone who knows something might be more likely to see it. Good Luck. Quote Link to comment
