Emailing a User Errors

Tried emailing 2-3 users over the past couple of days and included some emoticons in my email. Ex. and as well as [] and [].

 

Everytime I include these in my message I get a Server Execution Error. If I take them out the email goes through fine.

 

Is something up? or is this new? I know I have been able to include the text emoticons before.

I sent you a couple email messages to test it out and didn't get a server error.
