Keith Watson Posted September 7, 2006 Author Posted September 7, 2006 What problems are you having? Quote
geek-e Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 the problem is that the conection keeps timeing out Quote
grnbrg Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 the problem is that the conection keeps timeing out Do you run a Linksys router/firewall? Some Linksys products don't play nice with irc chat servers... If you do run a Linksys with the firewall enabled, try to connect after disabling it. Not a good idea to run for any length of time like this, but it will tell you if that is the problem... grnbrg. Quote

Keith Watson Posted September 13, 2006 Author Posted September 13, 2006 If you download mirc from http://www.mirc.com/ and install it, then just click on the irc://irc.wikkedwire.com:6667/ link on the chat page. That will fire mirc up and put you in the chat room. Quote
parker2 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Another fairly easy chat client is visual IRC, easy to use and quite compact. parker2 Quote
Couparangus Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Funny guy Charlie-Zulu. mIRC works well. I just find it to be what I call "feature soup". Quote
