I also noticed that, using the antenna by itself provided about 3-8 db gain, putting it on a 7-8 inch diameter metal disk, it's gain almost doubled! I then noticed that increasing the size of the metal disk beyond this had VERY LITTLE effect. Where did you find the gain measurement, does your GPS tell you it? Quote Link to comment

My Lowrance has a hidden screen that takes you to a sat signal strength page - each bird's signal is displayed in signal-to-noise ratio. You go to the sat page and hit the down arrow 3 times fast (one of the hidden features of the iFinders.) Quote Link to comment
