Help With Tb In My Account

I picked up a TB and placed it in a cache a few months ago but have seemed to have forgotten to log it or a glitch or something happened. Anyways I have been out of geocaching since until this week. When I logged onto my account, there was that TB! I remember placing it in a cache and thought I logged it, but do not know how to get it out of my "possession"?

Go post a note on the cache page where you dropped the bug, listed at the bottom is the inventory that will allow you to drop it.

You could post a Note to that cache and just say "Bug drop" and drop the TB into that cache that way. Then, you can go back and delete that log to keep the cache page cleaner.

 

It won't change the bug's movement into that cache.

Miragee I did what you said and it worked although I do not know if it actually is still in that cache since there is no new logs for it since I picked it up months ago.

The TB log now says I just placed it in the cache. So I shows I held on to it for that whole time! I wish someone would have logged it after I put it in the cache. I should have remembered.

It is surprising that a travelbug just sat there for a couple of months without being picked up by someone else, unless the cache doesn't get very many visits. It's also possible though that the bug was stolen or picked up by someone that didn't understand what to do with it.
