3d Paths

Recommended Posts

I'm new to this website and recently got gps (Vista cx). I've been looking through the forum and something caught my eye. I've seen, what I believe to be called, 3-D paths. Instead of looking at a route that is 2-dimensional (flat), there is another axis shown (x, y, z) that gives the routes a 3-dimensional look.

I'm not sure if I'm describing it correctly. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? If you do, do you know how I could go about creating the images? Is there any special software that is needed?

Thanks,

Dwight

I found a website that kind of shows what I'm asking about:

http://www.gpsdrawing.com/

http://www.gpsdrawing.com/gallery.htm

Thanks,

Dwight

so for the first link (gpsdrawing.com):

- old picnic table to set on your patio ... $40

- nice GPS 76 to play with while you are sitting at your table ... $400

- having track logs set "on" so you can graph where your a__ cracked right through the picnic table while holding your GPS .. .PRICELESS!!!
