+anlufu Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 We are going to be in Gauteng this weekend. Problem is we are on a very tight schedule. The dogs are competing at the World of Dogs & Cats. We are staying very close to the Northgate Dome. Can anyone recomend some caches in the area that we can do either early in the morning or after 8 at night? And any along the way from George to JHB? +QFC Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 (edited) Hey have a few caches that we have found that we could suggest a reasonable quick finds. Though your trip to JHB could take longer that you planned George - JHB Middelburg N9 to Middelburg (15km from Middelburg in right direction) Witkransnek valley view cache (9km from Middelburg in wrong direction) Nieu Bethesda Nieu Bethesda (~50km sand detour) Graaf Reinet Janpe's 60 (Graaf Reinet ~15km detour) Valley of Desolation (Graaf Reinet ~15km detour) Colesburg (there is a cache in Colesburg, I think) N1 Stilfontein Blockhouse (GMC12Z) Bloemfontein Fort Bloemfontein (could take some time) Women's Monument (one other that I forgot) (a new one, possibly a FTF) Ventersburg N1 Sandriver - GMC001Z Around Northgate Fantasia (can be done at night with supper) Sudoku Cache (long calculation, easy find) Travel Bug Safe House Crystal Fairy Word Search Cache Cinderella Castle (can be done at night (I think)) Hearth & Light (can be done at night ) That should keep you busy for one morning and one busy night.
