+Geek&Gopher
Welcome Aboard! Once you find your first cache you won't want to stop. I'm a 1 week old newbie and loving it. Great way to spend time in the outdoors which I love to do anyway. Quote Link to comment

Today's Cacher has put out 2 paper issues (you can order them from the website), and hopefully with do a third sometime soon. There are some books on geocaching, about 6-7. I got the Complete Idiot's Guide, and found it very useful. No idea about the others in terms of quality, etc. Quote Link to comment

+geognerd
There's also PodCacher. You could load the show on an MP3 player and listen to it on the can. But it looks like the most recent show is 39 mins. You'd need one heck of a bowel movement if you wanted to listen to the show in one sitting. Quote Link to comment

I'm excited to get started but it's been ungodly hot here and a typhoon is due tonight. Quote Link to comment

Don't know how available they are in Japan, but theres books called GPS for Dummies, and Geocaching for Dummies. I have Geocaching for Dummies and it explains everything in a very easy way to understand. Quote Link to comment
