Unpublished Caches 4 Days Now Help!

Recommended Posts

HELP ! I have looked under contact us section and still cannot figure out who to let know that I have some caches that I listed 4 days ago so they would be ready for the big 4th weekend and they are still not published. Their is no reviewer note or anything. Someone please send me in the right direction.

Well, your reviewer may be a bit behind in their work queue, or may be on vacation. After all, your reviewer is a volunteer, and is unpaid -- she or he must take time from their job, family and other obligations to handle their review work. I am sure that you will hear in due time. However, in the interim, if you need to contact your reviewer quickly via GC PM, and are not yet sure who your reviewer is, simply bring up the cache listing page for any caches in your area which were published in the last 10 months. Then, look at the very first log entry; that should read: "Published by XXXXX" -- that will be the name of your local reviewer. If one or two pages are missing that info, it simply means that the cache owner has deleted the log entry, and in this case, simply look at the page for another recently-approved local cache. And, many cache listing pages bear a note in tiny font at the lower left corner announcing which reviewer approved the cache (but not all cache listing pages bear this note, to my knowledge...!)

Have fun!

psssst That is only visible on your cache pages

It looks like you have several active caches so you should know who the local reviewers are. Aside from my teasing, Vinnie & Sue are correct. This is a holiday weekend and many of the lucky volunteer reviewers are off doing something fun away from their computers with their families this weekend. I'm sure that they will get looked at as soon as possible.

On another note. If you want caches to be ready for people to hunt for the weekend it is generally a good idea to submit them for review several days prior to when you want them published. If you don't want it published until Friday you can request that in a reviewer note and your local reviewer will do their best to accomodate your wishes.
