Garmin Vista Cx

Hi

I've downloaded my waypoints for lake district caches for my hols but i dont know how to get there ie which local road to take to get closest to the cache..... What map do i need to buy for my vista - i'm totally confused.........

City Select version 7 would be your best bet. If that isnt available, City Navigator version 8.

 

Oh. Belfast Ireland? Maybe not. Not sure about the best European map.

I think all of the City _______ products have about the same maps, but the Navigator (the more expensive one) has better routing info built into the maps so the GPS can give you better directions as far as when to turn, etc. Your Vista Cx can use that info if it is available, but a GPS that can't give driving directions doesn't need that stuff.

I have the Garmin Vista Cx as well and work with both City Select North America and City Select Europe V7. This is what you need.

 

Although, the European maps are not cheap: approx. 300 USD

North America: 110 USD.

City Nav does. Go here, and then click on the MapSource Map Viewer on the top right part of the page. You can keep clicking on Belfast to zoom in. The roads appear to be quite detailed.

I've got the maps - selected the areas i want got the garmin connected to the computer but mapsource can not detect m device - it's only reckonising removable disks...... tried to get it to detect the garmin but no luck - can anyone help me??????
