County And City Benchmarks

GOod morning.

I would like to inquire how to record found benchmarks that are placed by the City of Rochester, MN and Olmsted County survey marks.

 

The city placed 6 rods at the Chester Woods dam, one with identifyer numbers, the remaining just rods with a center point indented, no ID numbers. The county survey benchmarks have ID numbers. None are listed on the NGS list.

For the rods with identifying numbers, use the Recovered US Benchmarks Waymarking site for logging those marks. If the other rods are in outer cases with lids like the usual rods, they will probably be OK too - try submitting one. If there's an online database of benchmarks you're using, and can reference it in the waymark submission, then all types of marks are accepted.
