+J6
Hey smart people I invite you to flex your gray muscles now! I've scoured the forums and my manual and found no directions for this. Recently, I ran into a cache that required me to set a bearing and a distance to find the next stage of the multi-cache. I got lucky and did it without the GPS because I had no clue how and didn't want to give up. Does anyone know how to plug in a bearing and a distance for the Garmin eTrex Vista? I would very much appreciate the help because I already know of a similar necessary skill for another local cache. Quote Link to comment

+Sputnik 57
Take a look at this post. Not sure the keystrokes are quite the same on a Vista. Quote Link to comment
+Red90
Yes, the projection is from one waypoint to another. So get to the waypoint screen that you want to project from. Go to the upper left pulldown menu and choose "project waypoint". When you are done a new waypoint is created. Quote Link to comment

+EScout
Make sure your settings are for True or magnetic north as specified in the cache you are attempting. After changing the setting, then do your projections. Quote Link to comment
