+supertbone Posted April 17, 2006 Share Posted April 17, 2006 Does any one know how to calculate a central centroid coordinate of a triangle based upon three coordinates? The triangle is an acute scalene triangle. I figured out the side lengths and the internal angles, plus I have the azimuths. I can get it from a geometric calculation, but I am screwing up the coordinate info. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
+5winters Posted April 17, 2006 Share Posted April 17, 2006 I know that that the Fizzy Magic stat program, found here will generate a centroid as part of the stats. If you could get a GPX file of the 3 coordinates, that may help if they are existing caches. Quote Link to comment

I tried it and it works with my pocket queries, but It crashed on gpx files I create in GSAK. All I have to do is create a gpx file with the three waypoints. Quote Link to comment
