IMcachingHomer
I only have 67 caches under my belt so I guess I'm still a little new. But I am getting to the point where I have found all the caches near my home area so I have to venture out to other towns etc. What is a good inexpensive GPS with map features I know this is a vauge question so bear with me. I only need a GPS with maps installed or can be installed. I can enter the POI's manually. Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
Alphawolf
Probably one of your best bets would be the Garmin Legend (Not the cx model). It does mapping, with 8mb of memory and comes with a PC interface cord Quote Link to comment
Neo_Geo
You might also consider the Garmin GPS V. It offers a lot of bang for the buck! It has 19MB of map memory (11MB more than the Legend) and does autorouting. A brand new deluxe package contains the map software (City Select) and can be had on eBay for about $200 to $225. It was once their top-of-the-line handheld before the color model handhelds came out. GARMIN GPS V GARMIN GPS V ON EBAY Edited April 8, 2006 by Neo_Geo Quote Link to comment
+user13371
Meeting the criteria of mapping and cheap, I'd say go with a Lowrance unit, like the H2O. Price beaters in just about every category. Quote Link to comment
centme37
My choice would be the Explorist 210. It has USB connectivity and mapping plus it is very sensitive even in tree cover. I think you could find one around $150 or less. It has a 22mb permanent memory which allows for the uploading of maps, etc. Quote Link to comment
