  1. Is it me or when you do an advance search and check the box to exclude caches youve already gotten it doesnt do it.
  2. We were talking about this the other day, I wouldnt do it just for the reason I wouldnt want to handle a bloody log, I usually leave a pen as swag in almost all of the caches I visit for people who need them
  3. I have an explorist and love it. I was wondering if the GPS's with turn by turn directions that are usually mounted on the windshied of cars have a way to enter waypoints and have an arrow screen like the hand held models, I KNOW they're not water proof etc. but if you had a water proof, case that also protected it if dropped, do they guide you in like a handheld modle thanks

    PSP

Ok I just read about this at the Geocaching website. It sounds really cool, would you be able to use a Sony PSP with there GPS?
  5. Does the new SEND TO GPS button make it easy to use or do you still have to download a second party additon like Easy GPS etc. I want something EASY and will upgrade to a Garmin when Im ready to upgrade my explorist 100. I wanted a 210 but I want something I can figure out easily
  6. My T.B. was M.I.A so I went to the cache it was in and put that I retrieved it so now its in my inventory so I want to send out the COPY withthe same mission. How do I start the miles over again?
  7. My travel was in a cache that muggled. It still shows that it is there but the owner confirmed it is M.I.A. I went to the cache page and wrote a note that I was going to put down I retrieved it so I could send the COPY one But I cant retrieve it. How is it done? Or can you not retrieve your own T>B> Thanks
  8. That sure isnt good, seeing as though it was your brothers fault. Maybe in time he'll forgive and/or forget.
  9. With the new download to a Garmin feature do you still have to have another program or does it directly download to a Garmin. For me a non computer smart guy I want SIMPLE.
  10. I was hoping not to carry around alot of papers, I was goofing around yesterday and found I can save an image, If I only could make the cache page an image, I could save them on my PSP.
  11. I am not a computer kind of guy, I have WEBTV, not even a computer. I do have a Sony PSP which I can get on the internet via WiFI. I would like to save the cache pages to look at while caching but, some how I have to have the cache page an image that the cursor recognizes so I can save image. Does someone know how I can make the page (preferable the printer friendly page) an image? I dont know if I could send it to a computer and have it sent back to me in some format. I hope this makes sence to someone.
  12. Thanks - I heard they have a GPS for a PSP but its not in the US yet. I'll get it and still use my Magellan in the woods etc.
  13. Does any of the the programs like Isilo cachemate, etc for the pocket pc.s work with the Sony PSP. I would like to be able to store cache pages on my PSP but I can't. I want to do via WIFI.
  14. Maybe i'll have to take your advice and give it a go. I like my Explorist 100 so I wanted to get a 210. But if I for some reason couldnt get the pocket queries figured out I wouldnt be able to download one at a time since its not a Garmin.
  15. I am looking to upgrade to a GPS that I can download off the internet to. Since I am not too smart with computers, the new feature that will down load waypoints to Garmin GPS is good for me. When I travel I can borrow a computer and dont mind downloading one at a time, Whats a good Garmin for this purpose. Thanks in advance
  16. Thanks, Im not a computer guy so the pocket queries thing is probably out of the question.
  17. I want to upgrade my GPS to one that will connect to a computer. Is the new feature on Geocaching.com to send a cache to a Garmin GPS a stand alone feature, Will it send it directly to a Garmin GPS that has a cable connected or will you still have to use cache=mate etc. ? Thanks
  18. Thats so funny you mentioned that. My wife and I are gonna be in Las Vegas on that day, I told her I wanted to place a cache out there, of course its a bad idea cause we only get out once or twice a year so maintence would be hard. I guess after I hit it big we'll just move out there. YEAH RIGHT
  19. My travel bug was put in a cache and a month later a geocacher logged that the cache had graffiti all over it and my travel bug was MIA. After reading the Travel Bug info page they said I could use the "copy one" that came with the original. I want to know how to start the tracking mile back to zero and start tracking of this one. I want to keep the same goal. Thanks for any help
  20. I want to upgrade to a GPS I can download the waypoints into. I currently have an Explorist 100. I have MSNTV (because I know absolutely nothing about computers). So I'd be using computers of family or at work. I do some traveling so I would use computers at hotels etc. My question is after I become a premium member is it easy to download the waypoints. Is it just plug into the back of the computer and into the GPS and check the waypoints to be downloaded? Or do I have to download them to the computer and do other complicated things. Are Garmen and Magellan the same. any input would be appreciated. Thanks
  21. I have a cheap Explorist 100 and have had no problems, when I upgrade I will go for features and price. I like size of the Garmins but have never played with one.
  22. I have a Magellan and have no problems at all, I will admit that the instruction manual was NO HELP. When I upgrade I will go with features and price and wont care if its a Garman or Explorist or one from the dollar store
  23. I just happened to be scanning through this thread and noticed that hardly anyone mentioned Explorist. I have an Explorist 100 and love it. When I upgrade I guess I'm gonna have to look at Garmin. but until then this works great.
