+naviguesser74
I found two TBs. When I go to the page for the TB and then try to log it, I get a "no match" error message for the tracking number. In both cases the metal tag shown in the picture was missing, so the only reference is the tracking number on the web page. What am I doing wrong? Quote Link to comment
Keystone
Without the secret number on the metal tag, you cannot write anything but a "note" log on a travel bug. The public reference number, which starts with "TB," is just for describing and linking to the bug. Quote Link to comment
+naviguesser74
I see. Too bad that someone took the metal tag. Yet somehow it was being tracked. I will put each one in a cache in Arizona and hopefully keep them moving. Quote Link to comment
+welch
If you have the time, you might try contacting the TBs owners and explaining the problem and offering to help fix the the traveler for them... Otherwise the next person to pick them up has the same problem you did, no tag no number no way to 'find' or move movements. I think one of the TBs you have is 'Looking For New Loins' from castor cemetary. That cache page has a note on it from the TB's owner asking whoever picks up the TB to contact them. Apperently they already know there's not a tag on the item. Quote Link to comment
