+beejay&esskay
I ran a PQ (interactively) to see how the "needs maintenance" would work. I'm selecting the Red Cross icon (not with a slash through it) for near ZIP 47374 and I get a single cache Don't yawn that has no evidence that a "needs maintenance" log has been posted to it. (As a side note, can a cache owner delete a "needs maintenance" log? If so, does that reset the attribute?) [Edited to add:] But I do see the attribute on the cache page, so the PQ is fine. But how did that attribute get set? Edited January 19, 2006 by beejay&esskay Link to comment
Jeremy
Yes, the owner can delete the log entry. They have to either edit the attributes on the listing or post an owner maintainence log for it to go away. This one is kind of odd, however. I went ahead and removed the attribute. The owner may have been confused as to what it was for (or was merely testing it out). Link to comment
+beejay&esskay
Thanks, Jeremy. Maybe the cache owner was going to put a Swiss Army knife in the cache (but I've been there and it's too small!) Link to comment
+Elde
On the topic of the 'needs maintenance' - does that mean we have to make two log entries (as a finder) so our find does not get deleted? Does it count as a smiley at all? Link to comment
Jeremy
I don't understand the question. The need maintaince log is pretty much like a normal "post a note" style log type. The only difference is the added attribute and different icon. You'd still need to log a find for it to count as a find. Link to comment
