The truth is I don't need expandable memory for this unit; if I am using autorouting I'll be in a car and if I'm in a car I will have my laptop to load the maps for the area that I am in. If I am using my topo maps, I will be able to get the area that I need on 24MB. I do go backpacking for longer periods of time (1 to 2 weeks occasionally) but I am not covering enough distance to warrant loading the entire US just so that "I can have it with me." I have found this unit on CompuPlus.com for $185.99. Has anyone had experience (good or bad) with this vendor? Also, does anyone have any insight or heard rumors about how low this price might go on this unit? I haven't heard if Garmin will even continue to make this unit now that the Cx's are on their way. However, I did check at Target last Thursday (my wife is now interested in getting one!) and they still had a couple on the shelf for that price. These prices are in Atlanta, GA.
