ChaseOnTheGo
Hello, I currently have a Garmin Legend (the blue one) and I was thinking about upgrading to the Garmin GPSMAP 60- black and white screen…….this question might sound stupid but besides the games that it has, will it perform better when finding the cache? Like, better accuracy, the arrow doesn’t go crazy on me and so on. Is what I have currently better than the GPSMAP 60? Thanks a lot, Chase Quote Link to comment
Miragee
If I had the Legend and was thinking about upgrading, I would wait until I had enough money to get the Legend C which you can later add the City Select maps to for its auto-routing capability. The newer color units are better than the older monochrome ones. Quote Link to comment
poperszky
I haven't used the legend so I can't speak to the difference, but after a lot of research I chose the GPSMAP 60. I have had it for a week now, it has lead me straight to 5 caches, has quick aquitition, and seems solid as a whole. Terry Quote Link to comment
ChaseOnTheGo
Hey, Besides the money factor is this "jump" between the GPS's good? Quote Link to comment
Miragee
I started with the Vista, one step up from the Legend. It got me to the caches just fine, but I really wanted the auto-routing capablility of the Vista C so that is what I upgraded to. I was pleasantly surprised to see how fast the unit was and I really like the USB connection instead of the Serial connection. I can add new maps quickly now and downloading the tracks from a day of caching doesn't take any time at all. Quote Link to comment
