+naviguesser74
I am so excited that I have to tell someone. I discovered Adam Schnieder's gpsvisualzer site at http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/index.html and spent an hour instant messaging with him. I downloaded about 20 geocache sites and with his site created a aerial map with the cache locations indicated. Way too cool. Not only that, it will apparently work with google maps and google earth (NOW AVAILABLE FOR THE MAC, finally). His site also has an easy to use gpsbabel. As he explains, "web page is just a "front end" for a copy of GPSBabel running on the web server." It will convert anything to anything, as best I can tell. It even creates TomTom .ov2 POI files, which I hope to install in the TomTom map file on my Palm Treo. Way too cool. I can't believe all the searching I have done in there forums and on the web in general didn't find this important site earlier. And it all works on a Mac. Thanks to Adam!! Quote Link to comment
