+art begotti Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 is there a way to search for archived caches within a certain area, like a zip code? i know that to filter out caches you've already found, you can add "&f=1" to the web address (or something like that)... but is there a way to filter out all of the active caches? i'm interested in seeing what caches have previously been in my area, before i started caching.
+ibycus Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Only real way to do it, is to search through profiles of cachers who have been around for a while, that will show you the caches they've found that have been archived. Also, you can look at the gc.com IIRC, they can be made to show the archived caches.
+Lil Devil Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Also, you can look at the gc.com maps. IIRC, they can be made to show the archived caches. Missed a word there Yes, the geocaching.com maps will show archived caches if you check the box for them.
+4leafclover Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 but, keep in mind, you have to be a premium member for this functionality.
